My room smells like cheese

Last night (wednesday), on my way home from work, I decided that the only thing that possibly deserved being eaten for dinner was bread and cheese. I stopped at the Co-op and found just that. After consuming said cheese and bread, I tried doing some work online, but really just ended up watching some tv shows on my computer, and falling asleep fully clothed, and with contact lenses in. Damn you, jet lag! Anyway, unsurprisingly, I woke up around 4 am the next morning, and unable to sleep any longer, I went out into the hall to take a shower. When I walked back into my room, I was immediately hit with the overpowering scent of cheese. I began to feel slightly ill. My room is very warm, and as I had fallen asleep unexpectedly, I hadn’t taken my ‘refrigerables’ downstairs to the kitchen the night before, which caused my cheese to be lightly toasting all night. Gross! I think it goes without saying that when I left for work this morning, the window was left slightly ajar, and scented spray had been liberally applied throughout the room. On my way to the bus, I made sure to toss out the offending remaining cheese.
When I came home from work, I was dismayed to find that my window had shut on its own and my room was still full of smelly cheese stink. Since I was going out for the evening, I took more extreme measures, propping the window open and exacting a more thorough dousing of scented spray.
Luckily, after my night out with the UN interns (which was fabulous, I might add), I came home to a stink free room. After this scarring debacle, it’s true that I may never eat cheese again (well at least not until friday night, when my work has a fondue party at my bosses’ house. I mean, you can’t pass up good fondue, especially not in Switzerland!).
There are no words to describe how boociadus this is.
