Attempting to make up for lost time

I don’t know why I’ve not written in so long. I just think that at first I was too busy, and then there was just too much to say that every time I sat down at the computer, I felt overwhelmed, and so I just ended up doing some time-wasting activity to put it off for another day. I’ve decided, however, that such nonsense needs to stop here. I’m starting over. Clean slate. All the things that I’ve been wanting to say for the past few weeks are just likely never to get said. I just have to accept it. I’m moving on, starting anew. Suffice it to say, however, that since I’ve been back in Geneva things have gone well. I’ve been busy with work, I’ve surprisingly had a decent social life (weird, I know), and aside from a horrible week or two of rain and wintery temperatures, the sun has been shining, the days have been warm, and the city full of life. And, of course, there’s been the World Cup. It’s taken over people’s lives here, including, I should admit, my own. Between matches, however, I’ve also been busy. There’s been a lot of hiking, wine-tasting, city exploring, dancing, and even some Shakespeare on my agenda as well. What I’m trying to admit here, is that I may possibly be enjoying living in Geneva at the moment. Maybe it is just the effect of the good weather, or maybe it has to do with the fact that people are actually staying in the city on the weekends instead of escaping to more interesting places, but Geneva has actually become (gasp) a fun place to be, and so I therefore promise to stop avoiding my writing responsibilities so that I can document this surprising amazingness. In the meantime, I leave you with photos of my cats hanging out in the office, because they are adorable and I’m happy they are here, and I’m slightly obsessed with them. Sorry in advance for my ridiculousness.
Now, Azreal spends much of his time hanging out with us upstairs. He, as usual, is the most ridiculous cat in the world, so here’s a few ‘a day in the life of Azreal’ photos.
YAYYYYYY! You’re back. 🙂 And the kitties are with you and adorable as per usual. I’m hoping to hear back about a job super soon and, if it works out, in the next couple months I plan to get a lovely feline of my own. 😀
[…] My cats made it back to Switzerland with me, and the ‘photo frenzy of obsessiveness’ immediately commenced. Take for example: Why I shouldn’t model my work ethic after my cats. Some more cute office kitten photos can be found here […]
